Sublime Text 2 Final Released [Inc Patch + License Key]

Sublime Text 2

After long time of beta version, now Sublime Text 2 final has been released. Compared to the last beta, version 2.0 offers a more polished experience, with over one hundred tweaks and improvements. Some of the notable ones are:
 - Retina display support for OS X
- Quick Skip Next
and ever more. See changed log for detail.

For x64: After install, open sublime-text.exe with hex editor. Find and replace "33 42" with "32 42". Save and using this license key to register:

      With linux x64 open sublime_text with hex editor and replace all "3342" with "3242" and save. Then that license key should work.

      The sed command is run from the terminal. First cd into the ST2 directory, then paste the sed command into the command line. Click enter and enjoy!

      On Ubuntu 13.04 x64 I had the same problem like you, than I open sublime_text in dhex editor and I used the search option, enter 33 42 and changed the first value to 32 42 and then save the file and typed licenses. Everything works fine :)

    Works for me. Initially I did it a little wrong with the hex editor. I searched the hex but replaced with ansi string in the hex editor :)

    Re-tried, did carefully and works now..

      Do not change all occurrences of '33 42 "to" 32 42 ".

      In your hex editor, search for something like "go to byte (address)":
      Then go to the address 0x59557C and change only this occurrence.

      So no problems with the backspace or delete more.

      Launch Sublime text as root, then enter the licence key, exit and reopen as normal user.. it will works ;)

    You don't have to modify all the 33 42's. I only modified the one on offset 0x002CCC00 and then it accepted my key thanks for the key though. This still works as of 11/12/2012

      for which version did you operate this change (Win, Linux, Mac)? I tried it on my Mac version of Sublime and can't find any 33 42 on offset 0x002CCC00 (My 0x002CCC00 address looks like this: 48 01 C7 49 11 D1 49 83 D0 00 48 8B 46 40 48 8B )

      Has anyone gotten this to work successfully for the Mac version of Sublime? Thanks!

    Strange how all comment say change Hex in linux version of Sublime Text, but the Post Image is a screenshot of the Windows Version.

    (must not work in the most recent build of Sumblime Text, as I'm unable to located the 33 42 Hex... Windows Version btw)

    I got it working for Windows 7 64 bit.

    1.) Download and Install Hex editor, link:
    http://download.cnet.com/HxD-Hex-Editor/3000-2352_4-10891068.html

    2.) Open HxD Hex Editor as administrator. Open sublime_text.exe, Search and Replace All '33 42' and '32 42' (without the quotes of course...), then save it.

    3.) Open sublime text editor then enter the license key provided, then it should work. Note: The exact license key provide to avoid errors.

      i did it in my linux 32 bit and backspace is working...how i did it? simply search for '33 42' without the quotes...keep searching until you see this text in the other plain text window. TEXT TO LOOK OUT FOR: "you like to purchase a license now? there will be a highlighted 3B under it. then you'll know that's the correct '33 42' to replace. change it to 32 42 and save, then enter the key and you now have a full version....and no problems with backspace.

      try this,

      sudo apt-get install ghex

      open ghex. file->open sublime_text (executable)

      find & replace
      33 42 with 32 42

      now file->save

      now try opening sublime_text, and entering the license key.

    Don't replace every occurrence of 0x33 0x42 with 0x32 0x42.

    Better check for a longer string, this command below should be fine:
    sed 's/5BE509C33B020111/5BE509C32B020111/g' sublime_text > sublime_text_new

      This worked like a charm for build 2217 on Mac OS X 10.6.8!
      using vim:
      1. edit file ->> "vim Sublime\ Text\ 2"
      2. change to hex mode ->> ":$!xxd"
      3. find and replace ->> ":%s/5BE509C33B020111/5BE509C32B020111/g"

      or as said here using "sed 's/5BE509C33B020111/5BE509C32B020111/g' Sublime\ Text\ 2"

      Then use the license key

    Follow these to fully and effectively register sublime text 2 in ubuntu
    1.Install ghex editor.(in terminal,enter "sudo apt-get install ghex")..without the quotes.
    2.In terminal enter "cd /usr/lib/sublime-text-2"
    3.In terminal enter "sudo ghex sublime_text" & enter your password
    4.In open ghex window,navigate to Edit>Replace.
    5.In the find string section enter 33 42
    6.In the replace with section enter 32 42
    7.save and exit.
    8.run sublime text and regiter with this:

    I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. Tried the above trick and it does not work at all. I used Cygwin in Windows to make use of "sed" command and now the sublime_text.exe does not even start. Throws error - The version of file is not compatible with Windows version you are running.

      I'm able to open it up an enter the license file and it accepts it, but after that I cannot launch it... I have v2 on the same system if that matters. Any ideas?

      How are you launching? (./sublime_text from folder, or the .desktop file) and if so are there any special parameters?

      Do you also have ST2 on the same system?

    Python script that works on OS X, patches both versions. Sublime Text 2 still requires a license.

    Should work on other platforms, just need to adjust the paths.

    latest build (3021) is seems crashing in Ubuntu 12.10 after cracking. It opened and than shut down within 2 sec. This is problem due to cracking or from developers. Any Idea Guys

      That was the address of the correct 0x3342->0x3242 for 3021 64bit on ubuntu 12.10. If you change all the 3342's, you break hell lot of things in sublime. Don't do it, change only the right one.

    Hey all, its me moss, to crack sublime text all version, both 2 and 3, with all operating system mac, windows, or linux, all builds whatsoever, download the official version from the sublime text website. then install it. go to the folder where it was installed to. for windows it should be C:\\Program Files\sublime_text and for linux it should be /opt/sublime_text then open the "sublime_text" or "sublime_text.exe" file as the case may be with your hex editor. then search for "30 32 30 31 31 31" without the quotes of course, then change the 33 42 before it to 32 42, save it then enter the license key below.

    for linux users you might have to first chmod the "sublime_text" file to 777 thus: sudo su chmod 777 /opt/sublime_text/sublime_text

    enjoy... it works for all builds and types of sublime install... you just have to first edit the executable file as specified above then enter the license key. Enjoy.
